Our story
It started with a broken chain.
A forensic examiner does everything right. The device is imaged, the analysis is careful, the findings are sound. Then, on cross-examination, none of that is what gets discussed. The question is simpler and more damaging: “Can you account for where this evidence was between Tuesday and Thursday?” A signature line sits blank. A transfer went unlogged. And a case built on real evidence starts to wobble — not because anyone doubts the science, but because no one can prove the record wasn't touched.
We watched that same scene play out over and over. The failure was almost never the evidence. It was the custody record— a paper form that could be back-dated, a spreadsheet anyone could quietly edit, a chain with a gap in the middle that no one could close after the fact. The tools meant to establish trust couldn't prove their own integrity.
The insight
What if the record could prove itself? Not a document you had to trust, but one that mathematically resists tampering — where every entry is cryptographically linked to the one before it, so changing a single character anywhere in the history causes every seal after it to fail, loudly and visibly.
That is the idea CustodyTrack is built on. Each custody event — creation, transfer, acceptance — is sealed into a hash chain, per record and across a global ledger. The result isn't a claim of authenticity. It's a record whose authenticity anyone can independently verify, in seconds, for free — without ever seeing the evidence itself.
What we believe
Prove, don't trust
A record should carry its own proof. Ours are cryptographically sealed so integrity can be checked by anyone — not taken on faith.
Verifiable by anyone
A judge, an opposing expert, or an auditor can confirm a record is unaltered without an account, a login, or access to the underlying evidence.
Private by design
We store hash values and minimal metadata — not the contents of your evidence. Confidence for everyone who relies on the record, exposure for no one.
Who we are
CustodyTrack.io is owned and operated by Lexeprint Inc. We build practical software at the intersection of law, forensics, and engineering — tools designed by people who have sat in the deposition room and the server room, and who know that evidence is only as strong as the record that carries it.
We built CustodyTrack for the collector at a scene, the examiner at a bench, the investigator managing an evidence room, and the attorney who has to stand up and vouch for all of it. One standard of proof runs through every record: complete, contemporaneous, and tamper-evident — so the next time someone asks who handled the evidence and whether it changed, the answer is already sealed into the record, and anyone can check it.
